Introduction to needle felting When: Saturday, May 31, 10-12 Skill level: No particular skills needed -- all are welcome! Materials/fee: All materials are supplied. FAVT members: $20 Nonmembers: $25 Create a felted wool pin or magnet. No experience necessary. Create animals, flowers, faces or abstract designs. Suitable for ages 8 to adult. |

Felted soap When: Saturday, May 31, 1-3 p.m. Skill level: No particular skills are needed -- All are welcome. Materials/fee: Bring your own soap or purchase some at the store. All wool is supplies FAVT members: $10 Nonmembers: $15 Wrap a bar of soap in a coat of colorful wool and use warm water to transform it into a seamless felt covering, which can be used as a built-in washcloth or a sachet covering. Makes a great homemade gift! |

Felted stone critters When: Saturday, June 7, 1-3 p.m. Skill level: All are welcome! Materials/fee: Wool and stones are supplied, or you can bring your own. FAVT members: $30 Nonmembers: $35 Wrap a smooth stone in a layer of felted wool, then add details with a felting needle to create a whimsical paperweight, doorstop or “pet rock.” Make yours as realistic or fanciful as you wish! No experience necessary. Suitable for ages 12-adult. |
